My Story

My eye was healthy and pain-free.

I began to have an itching sensation in my eye.

Within two days, I lost all vision in my eye.

A surgery was performed to protect my eye because my cornea was melting and at risk of perforation, which can require the eye to be removed.

My cornea was fully perforated under the conjunctival flap.

I received my first cornea transplant.

My interocular lens was damaged, and I had surgery to implant a prosthetic lens.

All of the sutures were removed from my eye.

My transplant failed, and I lost my vision again.

A PTK laser procedure was performed to try to restore my vision.

I received my first Tarot deck and started doing daily readings.

The PTK procedure was not successful.

I received a second cornea transplant and a majority of my vision was restored.
